Our client has an interesting and diverse client base, from HNWI to OMB Directors operating in Construction, Financial Services,Ecommerce, Sports & Entertainment, with Turnovers up to 100m

Due to sustained business growth our client now has an exciting career opportunity available for an ACCA/CTA qualified Personal Tax manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • assuming responsibility and taking a proactive role in the management of a portfolio of personal tax clients andcontrolling the completion of work arising from those clients
  • prepare tax returns for a diverse range of clients including individuals, sole traders, partnerships and trusts
  • preparing more complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts
  • assisting with the compliance for other taxes including forms P11D, basic corporation tax matters, forms 42 and EMI40s
  • preparation and filing of P11D’s, PSA, NRL returns and ATED
  • Advise managers on clients’ residency and non-domiciliary status including, where applicable, reference to the remittance basis charge
  • Review tax notices and prepare correspondence to clients
  • Ensure all client work is completed within specific budgets and timeframes
  • Assisting with HMRC compliance enquiries
  • Knowledge and experience of reporting under disclosure schemes
  • Undertaking CGT advice on property, shares etc and preparing CGT 30-day reporting for UK residential property

As the succesful candidate you wll have experince in:

  • minimum 5 year’s PQE preparing tax returns and managing a tax portfolio in an accountancy practice
  • ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualification
  • excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients as well as the ability to help develop new business.
  • ability to demonstrate technical breadth.
  • ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding.
  • the ability to prioritise high volumes and work to strict timescales where required.
  • proactive, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • commercial acumen and dedication to building a strong team.
